About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead the development and execution of solar and energy storage projects in and around Southampton . This is a fantastic opportunity to manage the full project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies and planning through to construction and commissioning, ensuring successful delivery of key renewable energy infrastructure. You will play a vital role in expanding the adoption of clean energy solutions, working within a forward-thinking organisation committed to sustainability and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of renewable energy projects , including site selection, permitting, design, procurement, and construction.
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure profitable and timely project completion.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, suppliers, and contractors to achieve project objectives.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including local authorities, utility companies, and community groups.
- Ensure projects comply with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies proactively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector , with a focus on solar PV and battery storage systems .
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, and contract negotiation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) negotiation and grid connection processes is advantageous.
