About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Lead Offshore Wind Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of major offshore wind farm projects based in Portsmouth . This senior leadership position requires extensive experience in managing complex, large-scale infrastructure projects from conception through to commissioning. You will be responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relations to ensure the successful delivery of world-class renewable energy assets that contribute to the UK's net-zero targets . The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a proven track record in the offshore wind sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of offshore wind projects, including site selection, consenting, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation effectively.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Oversee contract negotiation and management with suppliers, contractors, and other partners.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, local communities, and investors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of project management experience, with at least 5 years specifically in the offshore wind industry .
- Proven experience managing projects with budgets exceeding £100 million.
- In-depth knowledge of offshore wind technology, supply chains, and consenting processes in the UK .
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and risk management skills.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.
