About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead the development and execution of solar and battery storage projects in the Southampton area. You will be responsible for managing all phases of project lifecycles, from initial feasibility studies and planning through to construction, commissioning, and handover. The role requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a thorough understanding of the renewable energy development process. You will work closely with stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a key role in expanding our client's renewable energy portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of renewable energy project development, including site selection, permitting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and timelines, and manage their execution.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage project risks, identify mitigation strategies, and resolve issues as they arise.
- Ensure all projects comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy sector, particularly solar or battery storage.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver successful outcomes.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
