About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead key infrastructure projects in the Plymouth, Devon area. This senior role requires a proven track record in managing complex civil engineering schemes from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. You will be responsible for overall project planning, execution, and stakeholder management, working closely with design teams, contractors, and clients. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of major civil engineering projects.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Manage contracts and coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Facilitate effective communication between all project stakeholders, including clients and design teams.
- Mitigate project risks and implement proactive solutions to unforeseen challenges.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction management discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the civil engineering sector.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale infrastructure projects, from conception to handover.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract administration, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
