About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee facilities-related projects in Portsmouth . This role is crucial for managing the planning, execution, and completion of projects focused on building maintenance, upgrades, and new facility developments. You will work closely with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure all projects meet regulatory standards, budgetary constraints, and operational requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of facilities projects, including renovations, refurbishments, and new installations.
- Develop project scopes, budgets, timelines, and resource plans in coordination with facilities and operational teams.
- Oversee contractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Conduct site inspections and project progress meetings to monitor performance and address any issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, health and safety legislation, and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, permits, and financial records.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) in Project Management , specifically within facilities management or construction.
- Solid understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and facilities management practices.
- Experience in managing project budgets and negotiating contracts with suppliers and contractors.
- Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to construction and facilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- A relevant qualification in construction, engineering, or project management is preferred.
