About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join their team in Portsmouth . This role is critical for overseeing large-scale, complex IT projects that support the company's strategic objectives. You will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, control, and closure, ensuring delivery excellence. This position requires a leader who can effectively manage resources, mitigate risks, and communicate project status to a wide range of stakeholders, driving technological advancement within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of major IT projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring efficient utilization and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement robust risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential project impediments.
- Coordinate effectively with internal IT departments, business units, and external vendors.
- Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to all project stakeholders, including executive leadership.

Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in IT Project Management , with a proven track record of delivering complex technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycles, and cybersecurity principles.
- Expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP or Prince2 are highly desirable.
