About the Role
Our client seeks a dynamic and results-oriented Construction Project Manager to lead significant building ventures in Birmingham . This position involves overseeing projects from conception through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to exceptional quality standards. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project teams, fostering strong relationships and clear communication. The ideal candidate possesses a strategic mindset, robust project planning skills, and a keen eye for detail, essential for navigating the complexities of large-scale construction in the West Midlands , driving success for our client's diverse portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, defining scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Oversee all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and design to final handover.
- Manage and mentor project teams, including site engineers, foremen, and administrative staff.
- Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings to monitor performance and identify potential risks.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring favourable terms and conditions.
- Implement rigorous quality assurance and control procedures to maintain project integrity.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management, with a portfolio of successfully completed projects.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, building regulations , and industry best practices.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and BIM technologies.
- A relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
