About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Remote Senior Project Manager to lead critical IT infrastructure projects. This fully remote role involves managing the planning, execution, and deployment of robust IT systems, including network upgrades, cloud migrations, and data center operations. You will collaborate with distributed IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of infrastructure solutions that support the organisation's strategic goals, all while working from your home office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects, from initial planning and design to deployment and closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for infrastructure initiatives.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure projects are delivered within financial parameters.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among remote IT teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies inherent in IT infrastructure deployments.
- Ensure infrastructure projects comply with security policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with at least 4 years focused on IT infrastructure projects (networking, cloud, servers, data centers).
- Proven success in managing complex, large-scale IT infrastructure deployments, ideally in a remote setting.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and networking concepts.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
