About the Role
Our client seeks a highly organised and proactive IT Project Manager to join their technology division in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is critical in overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT projects, ensuring they align with business objectives and technical requirements. You will be responsible for managing IT infrastructure upgrades, software implementations, and system integrations, working closely with technical teams and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of IT environments and a passion for driving technological innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects, from initiation through to closure.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams, vendors, and external partners to ensure seamless project execution.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing proactive solutions.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication among project stakeholders, including technical teams and business units.
- Ensure all IT projects adhere to established security protocols, compliance standards, and company policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an IT Project Manager , with a focus on software development or infrastructure projects.
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, cybersecurity, and software development lifecycles.
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Relevant IT certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, CSM) are highly desirable.
