About the Role
Our client requires a seasoned Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in the construction sector to oversee significant building projects in and around Sunderland . This role demands strong leadership, meticulous planning, and the ability to manage all phases of the construction lifecycle. You will be responsible for site operations, contractor management, budget control, and ensuring projects meet stringent safety and quality standards. This is a site-based position, integral to the successful delivery of high-profile developments within Tyne and Wear.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of construction projects from conception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and cost estimations.
- Oversee site operations, manage construction teams, and coordinate subcontractors effectively.
- Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.
- Implement robust quality control measures throughout the construction process.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry .
- Proven track record of managing large-scale building projects successfully.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations in the UK .
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional qualification such as a degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering is preferred.
- Familiarity with project management software relevant to construction is essential.
