About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and highly organized Lead Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of key projects in Newcastle upon Tyne . This senior role requires strategic thinking, exceptional leadership, and a deep understanding of project lifecycles across various business functions. You will be instrumental in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, while also mentoring junior project managers and contributing to the continuous improvement of our project management office (PMO). Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic project plans, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines effectively, ensuring optimal utilization.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers and project coordinators.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and dependencies, proactively implementing mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (7+ years) in project management , with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
- Demonstrated experience in a lead or managerial capacity within a project management setting.
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
- Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
