About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior IT Project Manager to lead and deliver complex technology projects for their operations in Reading . You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of IT initiatives, from initial conception through to successful deployment, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals. This role requires a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycles, and cybersecurity best practices. You will collaborate closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, driving technological advancement and operational excellence within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, execution, and closure of multiple complex IT projects simultaneously.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, resource allocation, and timelines.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Liaise with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure project alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to IT governance, security policies, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT project management , with a strong track record of delivering large-scale technology solutions.
- Expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to tailor approaches as needed.
- Proven experience managing projects involving software development, infrastructure upgrades, and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and vendor management skills in Reading .
