About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of innovative IT solutions for their operations, based remotely but ideally within reach of Nottingham . This role is vital for ensuring the successful implementation of software, systems, and technology projects that support business objectives. You will manage project teams, coordinate with various departments, and liaise with external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical understanding, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering complex IT projects in a distributed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of IT solutions projects , from requirements gathering to deployment and support.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and testers, to achieve project goals.
- Oversee vendor relationships and manage third-party contributions to projects.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies, ensuring timely delivery.
- Communicate project status, updates, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and senior management.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management , with a significant focus on IT projects and solutions delivery.
- Proven experience managing software development, system integration, or IT infrastructure projects.
- Solid understanding of various software development lifecycles and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote or distributed team setting.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are advantageous.
