About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee significant infrastructure projects in the Stoke-on-Trent region. This role is vital for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale civil engineering and construction works. You will be responsible for managing project teams, subcontractors, budgets, and timelines to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in infrastructure development, a strong commitment to safety, and excellent leadership capabilities to navigate the complexities of major construction undertakings, contributing to the development of essential public and private infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of infrastructure construction projects, from feasibility studies to final commissioning.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
- Lead and motivate multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, site staff, and subcontractors.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
- Implement risk management strategies and contingency plans to address potential project challenges.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Construction Project Manager , with a strong background in infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and relevant UK legislation.
- Proven ability to manage large budgets and complex project timelines effectively.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Hold relevant professional qualifications (e.g., BEng, MEng, CEng, PMP, PRINCE2).
- Proficiency in project management software and construction planning tools.
