About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead a critical cloud migration initiative for their operations in Wolverhampton . You will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and successful completion of large-scale cloud transition projects, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and maximizing the benefits of cloud technologies. This role requires a leader with a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), project management methodologies, and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical departments. You will play a pivotal role in modernizing the company's IT landscape, driving efficiency, scalability, and security in a hybrid work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans for large-scale cloud migration projects.
- Oversee all aspects of project execution, including scope definition, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT operations, development, and security personnel.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition to cloud environments.
- Communicate project status, key milestones, and critical issues to senior management and stakeholders regularly.
- Ensure adherence to security protocols, compliance requirements, and best practices throughout the migration process.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior IT Project Manager , with a strong focus on cloud migration projects (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- In-depth knowledge of cloud computing concepts, architectures, and migration strategies.
- Experience managing complex IT projects with budgets exceeding £1 million.
- Proficiency in Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, and cloud-specific certifications are highly desirable.
