About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to lead exciting renewable energy developments in the Plymouth area. This role is central to managing the full lifecycle of projects, from site acquisition and feasibility studies through to construction and commissioning of renewable energy facilities. You will work with a variety of stakeholders, including engineers, environmental consultants, local authorities, and construction partners, ensuring projects meet stringent environmental, safety, and financial targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the renewable energy sector and a passion for driving sustainable solutions, contributing to the region's green energy transition while enjoying a dynamic role with significant impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the development and execution of renewable energy projects (e.g., solar, wind) from inception to completion.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure project milestones are met.
- Oversee project budgets, financial forecasts, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure all projects comply with environmental regulations, planning permissions, and safety standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, local communities, and regulatory bodies.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong understanding of project lifecycles for renewable energy technologies.
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with planning, environmental impact assessments, and grid connection processes.
- Relevant degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; PMP or Prince2 certification is a plus.
