About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Civil Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee key development projects from their office in Reading . This role is critical for the successful delivery of complex infrastructure schemes, requiring strong leadership, meticulous planning, and effective stakeholder management. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and design through to construction and final handover, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both in the office and remotely, supporting a balanced approach to project leadership in the Berkshire region.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance strategies.
- Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, consultants, and contractors, fostering effective collaboration.
- Liaise extensively with clients, local authorities, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and communication is clear.
- Oversee site operations, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as necessary to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
- Ensure all project activities comply with relevant health, safety, environmental , and quality regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in managing civil infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, contract administration , and risk management.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively in a complex project environment.
