Overview In this role you will lead the Highways project delivery within the southern region, ensuring profitable completion to client specs and maintaining safety and quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive on-time, on-budget schemes that support the company’s growth in highways. You will plan resources, manage interfaces, and support value engineering and tendering efforts to win future work. This position offers the chance to shape high-profile highway projects and strengthen the division’s reputation.
Responsibilities - Profitably complete projects per client specifications and maximize client satisfaction
- Plan resources and resolve shortfalls or over-re sourcing in a timely, cost-effective manner
- Coordinate interfaces with other parts of the division
- Ensure all personnel and subcontractors work safely, are trained and competent
- Jointly prepare Cost Value Reports and Contract Status Reports with commercial staff
- Liaise with estimating to provide value engineering and lessons learnt for competitive tenders
- Deliver project schemes profitably and on time to enhance reputation and enable further business
- Assist in identifying new client targets and developing an approach with Commercial Manager
- Manage all personnel within your control professionally and effectively
Key requirements - Experience in civil engineering sectors including roads/highways
- HNC/HND/Degree in Civil Engineering
