Overview In this Senior Project Manager role, you will lead medium to large projects from inception to completion within a consultancy setting, driving delivery and client value. You’ll manage a cross-functional team, mentor junior staff, and ensure governance across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. The position centers on healthcare, life sciences, higher education, or defence sectors, offering the chance to shape outcomes on critical infrastructure and uplift communities. You’ll collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality projects at scale.

Responsibilities - Lead and deliver project management commissions
- Supervise and mentor Project Managers and junior staff
- Ensure staff training and development
- Coordinate delivery outputs to timescales and quality standards
- Lead internal project team meetings and sign-off verification
- Build strong client relationships and coordinate cross-functional teams
- Interface with clients for project delivery and negotiations
- Oversee design management and tender/contract processes
- Formulate and manage construction contracts
- Drive business development and cross-selling opportunities
- Provide leadership and mentoring within the PM group
- Oversee project finances, resourcing, audits, and reviews
- Prepare fee proposals and support professional chartership
- Participate in recruitment and retention activities
- Ensure completion of relevant training
Key requirements - Professional qualification in PM/Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying is preferred
- Chartered status with RICS/CIOB/RIBA/ICE or equivalent
- Experience in consultancy
- Strong understanding of construction roles across project lifecycle
- Experience in Healthcare/Life Sciences/Tertiary Education/Defence construction sectors
- Strong grasp of construction contracts and CDM 2015 compliance
