Overview In this Senior Project Manager role, you will drive the delivery of a multi-million pound rail project spanning depots in Norwich. You’ll lead planning, procurement, risk, and HSQE management to realise project goals within a three-year timeframe. You’ll coordinate cross-functional teams, report to internal stakeholders, and ensure successful contract execution and commercial performance. This role offers impact through shaping delivery on a high-profile civil rail scheme and close collaboration with clients and subcontractors.
Responsibilities - Define project organisation and responsibilities
- Communicate project requirements to the team
- Set challenging targets for the team
- Establish client and representative communications
- Coordinate information flow among the project team and with third parties
- Implement the project management system within the team
- Lead HSQE management
- Approve IMS plan and assign duties
- Evaluate opportunities and risks
- Organise planning management
- Set procurement deadlines
- Review and revise contract programme
- Create works packages
- Assist in awarding subcontracts and suppliers
- Contract management and supervision of progress
- Oversee project controlling
- Manage change processes
- Identify and coordinate training needs
- Represent the project to internal stakeholders with commercial and delivery reporting
- Assist in recruitment of staff
- Identify and coordinate training requirements
Key requirements - Degree/HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or similar
- Previous experience as a Project Manager on Civil Rail projects
- Project management experience
- Excellent leadership and tendering skills
