Overview In this role you lead engineering delivery for SCADA and SISS portfolios across the full project lifecycle within Siemens Mobility’s Rail Infrastructure business. You provide functional leadership to project engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet time, cost, and quality targets. You champion safe delivery, CDM compliance, and robust design practices while guiding resource planning and stakeholder communications. You’ll contribute to major UK rail initiatives, including HS2, shaping reliable and integrated rail systems.

Responsibilities - Lead delivery of all engineering works within SCADA and SISS portfolios across the full lifecycle
- Allocate engineering resources to plans, specifications, design, testing, delivery and commissioning within budget and time constraints
- Monitor and report progress, taking remedial action to address variance
- Maintain project resource schedules and optimise utilisation of engineering staff
- Collaborate with Head of SCADA and SISS Engineering to drive efficiencies and standardised design practices
- Maintain communication with contractors and customers to align objectives and targets
Key requirements - Established professional credibility in the UK rail industry with experience in SISS, Line/Station Management Systems, Traction Power SCADA and/or Asset Management systems
- Design and delivery experience in a multidiscipline environment
- Strong track record of managing small to large multidisciplinary teams
- Rail systems engineering experience covering requirements engineering, robust design, system integration and final verification
- Ability to operate in environments requiring informed, calculated risk-taking
- Background in multi-discipline settings such as SCADA, SISS, control systems, telecoms, M&E or line-wide system integration (desirable)
