Overview In this role you will lead the delivery of the Marine & Tunnelling scope at Avonmouth as part of the Civils Programme for SZC. You develop and execute strategies to deliver within cost, schedule and quality constraints, managing procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning across the life cycle. You will align planning with safety, quality and commercial targets, reporting to senior leaders and directing cross‑functional teams to meet project milestones. This is a high‑impact, regulated infrastructure role in a complex nuclear/regulated environment.

Responsibilities - Provide leadership to ensure delivery of the M&T Avonmouth scope within the Civils Programme
- Develop strategy for delivering Marine & Tunnelling to cost, schedule and quality targets
- Oversee procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning across the life cycle
- Ensure planning and delivery meet safety, quality, time and cost parameters
- Direct activities for full lifecycle delivery of contracts, reporting to Portion Leads and Directors
- Coordinate with engineering design, contracts and field execution teams and stakeholders
Key requirements - Track record delivering technically complex projects with strong safety and environmental focus
- Experience in engineering design, contract and field execution strategies
- Proven ability to manage multi‑discipline projects and complex contracts
- Cost, risk, schedule and change control; proficient in Earned Value tools
- Close out of commercial claims and negotiations
- Stakeholder engagement across diverse groups
- Strong project, financial, change management and facilitation skills
- Experience with NEC contracts and regulated environments
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and preferably chartered status in engineering/construction/physics
- Experience leading projects from concept to handover
- Degree and chartered status in related field
