Overview As Project Manager, you will deliver utility-scale solar PV projects in the UK, driving safe, on-time, and on-budget execution with quality outcomes. You’ll coordinate with EPCs, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and compliance with UK standards. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, procurement, construction and commercial teams, strong risk and change management, and a proactive safety culture. This is an opportunity to shape large renewable energy deployments and lead cross‑functional teams across sites.
Responsibilities - Lead delivery of large-scale solar PV projects across the UK
- Manage EPC contractors, subcontractors and key project stakeholders
- Own project programmes, budgets, risks, quality and HSE performance
- Monitor progress against milestones and resolve issues
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction and commercial teams
- Review contractor performance and ensure contractual requirements are met
- Oversee project documentation, reporting, change control and risk management
- Lead regular project meetings and provide progress updates to senior management
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and project performance
- Support resolution of technical, commercial and construction issues
- Ensure compliance with UK legislation, standards and company requirements
- Drive a strong culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement
Key requirements - Proven experience as a Project Manager in utility-scale solar PV or large-scale renewable energy
- Background in project delivery from EPC, construction or engineering environments
- Experience managing contractors, subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong understanding of construction programmes, project controls, budgets, risk and change management
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Commercial awareness and ability to manage project costs and contractual requirements
- Willingness to travel regularly to UK project sites
