Overview As a Senior Project Manager in Computacenter's Smart Infrastructure team, you lead large-scale data centre and digital infrastructure programmes for enterprise and hyperscale customers. You drive delivery from inception to completion, coordinating customers, delivery teams, and third parties to achieve time, cost, quality, and satisfaction goals. The role involves international, sometimes on-site engagement, exposure to AI infrastructure projects, and guiding cross-functional delivery in a high-growth environment. You will influence governance, risk, and continuous improvement while representing Computacenter professionally.
Responsibilities - Lead delivery of large-scale data centre and infrastructure projects to time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction targets
- Provide governance across the full project lifecycle and ensure adherence to methodologies and controls
- Manage budgets, commercial aspects and contractual obligations
- Lead matrix teams including technical specialists, third-party partners, subcontractors and stakeholders
- Oversee project planning, risk management, change control and resource management
- Produce timely project reporting for customers and senior leadership
- Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders as trusted advisor
- Support bid and pre-sales with delivery input, estimates and implementation recommendations
- Identify opportunities for scope growth, variations and revenue optimisation
- Ensure compliance with governance standards, quality frameworks and statutory obligations
- Champion innovation, continuous improvement and delivery best practice
- Maintain Health & Safety compliance across project activities
- Represent Computacenter professionally to protect reputation and relationships
Key requirements - Proven experience delivering large-scale infrastructure, data centre, network transformation or technology programmes
- Extensive project management experience in enterprise technology, data centre, construction-related technology or critical infrastructure
- Strong commercial awareness including ownership of financial performance, forecasting and contractual delivery
- Experience managing governance, risk, change control and reporting at programme or portfolio level
- Experience leading geographically dispersed and matrix-managed delivery teams
- Exceptional stakeholder management and ability to influence at all organizational levels
- Strong customer-facing presence in complex enterprise environments
- Prince2 Practitioner, PMP or equivalent project management qualification
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
