Overview In this role you will lead delivery of defence-related projects within the UK Ministry of Defence framework, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and compliant outcomes. You will work with cross-functional teams to shape and monitor programmes, mitigate risks, and capture learnings. The position offers exposure to complex, high-stakes programmes and supports national security objectives. You will be part of a mission-driven environment focused on performance, safety, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities - Understand and deliver in accordance with organisational policies, processes, and procedures
- Support the development and assurance of business cases within wider approval processes
- Analyse, develop, support, and manage timely and cost-effective delivery of client projects
- Influence, support, and expedite client project delivery through planning, monitoring, controlling, and reporting of project performance
- Identify and manage project assumptions and dependencies
- Identify slippage and risk, and implement remedial or mitigating actions while ensuring safety and environmental compliance
- Coordinate services across technical, engineering, project controls, commercial, and financial support functions
- Maintain project records accurately in line with policy
- Capture learning from experience and apply continuous improvement techniques to project delivery
Key requirements - Significant track record of successfully delivering defence projects within time, cost, and quality constraints
- Ability to operate autonomously with authority and build key relationships
- Consultancy focus with ability to scope wider client requirements and opportunities
- Expertise in P3M practices, methodologies, and their application
- Highly skilled in coaching and mentoring
- Willingness to attain security clearance (UK residency last 5 years)
