Overview As Risk Manager in Turner & Townsend’s Natural Resources and New Energies team, you will lead risk processes across multiple high-profile projects, tailoring approaches to client needs. You’ll run risk workshops, maintain risk registers, and drive mitigations, supported by our Controls & Performance network. You’ll produce risk insights and reports, enabling informed decision-making and continuous improvement. Responsibilities - Plan and tailor risk management processes for clients in line with best practices
- Facilitate risk workshops with subject matter experts
- Create and maintain risk registers and related information
- Challenge risk data to improve robustness
- Drive mitigation actions across projects and programmes
- Develop measurable management responses post-mitigation
- Conduct Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) for cost and schedule impacts
- Produce timely risk reports using Power BI and Microsoft Office tools
- Coordinate with Project Controls to align project information
- Engage with supply chain to incorporate supplier risks
Key requirements - Experience managing risk across multiple projects/programmes or in a similar risk role
- Familiarity with at least one risk standard or approach (ISO31000, APM, Orange Book, IPA)
- Familiarity with at least one risk tool
- Awareness of Quantitative Risk Assessment (Monte-Carlo) techniques
- Understanding of interaction between risk management and other Project Controls areas (Scheduling, Cost, Change)
- Desirable: risk qualification such as APM Risk Certificate Level 2 or MoR
- Desirable: familiarity with NEC contracts
- UK driving license or ability to travel to client sites as required
- Excellent communication of complex risk information to diverse stakeholders
