Role Overview:
We are seeking an organized, proactive Project Manager to support projects from pre-design through construction and closeout. The ideal candidate understands the construction process and can coordinate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Pre-design and preconstruction: Coordinate initial project information, scope requirements, preliminary budgets, schedules, and communication with the design team.
- Shop drawings and submittals: Maintain the shop drawing and submittal log, coordinate submissions, track reviews and revisions, and follow up on outstanding approvals.
- Payment requisitions: Prepare and track monthly payment requisitions, review subcontractor payment requests against reported progress and approved changes, and coordinate supporting documentation with accounting and field teams.
- Project documentation: Prepare and track RFIs, maintain current drawings and specifications, and distribute reviewed documents to the appropriate teams.
- Construction coordination: Monitor procurement and delivery schedules, coordinate trades, and follow up on issues affecting project progress.
- Meetings and closeout: Maintain meeting minutes and action items, and coordinate warranties, as-built drawings, and other closeout documents.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in project management or project coordination within a contractor’s office.
- Solid knowledge of construction methods, materials, sequencing, and trade coordination.
- Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and payment requisitions.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Clear communication and consistent follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Bluebeam preferred.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Procore, and/or Oracle is a plus.
