An established NYC-based energy efficiency and sustainability consulting company is looking for an experienced Project Manager – Sustainability Services to manage sustainable building projects across New York City.
The company works primarily with multifamily affordable housing and new construction, helping property owners and project teams improve building performance through energy efficiency, sustainability, commissioning, and green building initiatives. The Sustainability Services team supports projects throughout the building lifecycle, with a focus on ensuring sustainability requirements are met from design through construction.
What you'll do:
- Manage multiple sustainability and green building projects across NYC
- Oversee project requirements from design through construction
- Coordinate with owners, developers, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders
- Ensure projects meet energy-efficiency and sustainability requirements
- Support projects pursuing LEED, ENERGY STAR, EGCs, and Passive House certifications
- Track project schedules, deliverables, requirements, and stakeholder communication
- Help ensure sustainability goals are incorporated throughout the new construction lifecycle
- Work primarily on multifamily affordable housing projects across the five boroughs
- Collaborate with senior members of the Sustainability Services team on project execution and client needs
- Opportunity to grow into team management as the group continues to expand
What we're looking for:
- 2–3+ years of relevant project management experience
- Background in building sustainability, energy efficiency, green building, or sustainability consulting
- Experience working on new construction projects, ideally multifamily or residential
- Experience with LEED, ENERGY STAR, EGCs, or Passive House
- Passive House experience particularly valuable
- Strong understanding of building energy efficiency and sustainability requirements
- Strong project coordination, organization, and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working with multiple project teams and managing competing priorities
- NYC-based and comfortable working in person
- Background should be focused on building sustainability, rather than traditional heavy construction, power, or grid infrastructure
