We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Manager to join our team in the New York City area. In this role, you will be a key player in driving operational excellence within our audit and assurance practice. You’ll report directly to the Managing Partner and Director of Quality Control, working to enhance audit quality, improve quality-control processes, and support efficient project execution across multi-location engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Audit Project Management
- Oversee multiple audit projects across jurisdictions, tracking progress, balancing priorities, and evaluating budget, timeline, and risk impacts using data-driven insights.
Strategic & Resource Planning
- Collaborate with leadership on annual project planning. Coordinate with HR, Finance, Operations, and client service teams to ensure accurate forecasting and resource allocation.
Financial Oversight
- Monitor weekly and monthly budget vs. actual reports. Ensure alignment between staffing, time management, and client engagement terms.
Client Onboarding & Support
- Work with Finance and Operations to ensure smooth onboarding (e.g., engagement letters, codes, dashboards). Deliver timely updates and reporting to client teams.
Compliance & Quality Standards
- Oversee compliance activities including CPE tracking, licensure requirements, and professional standards, in collaboration with HR.
Process Optimization
- Identify and implement process improvements, leveraging automation and best practices in project management to increase efficiency.
Vendor & Partner Coordination
- Manage relationships with external consultants, attorneys, and outsourcing partners to support secure, effective project delivery.
Audit Quality Assurance
- Maintain oversight of project scope, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring high standards of audit quality and client service.
Continuous Improvement
- Promote and implement best practices in project management, driving ongoing refinements to workflows, tools, and methodologies.
