Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, UK , is seeking a highly organised and results-oriented HR Project Manager to lead a variety of strategic HR initiatives. This role is crucial for driving forward key projects, including HR system implementations, policy development, and organisational change programmes. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing HR projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a deep understanding of HR processes, and excellent stakeholder management capabilities. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of HR projects from initiation to closure.
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Manage project scope, identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Ensure effective communication and reporting on project progress to senior management.
- Manage change management activities associated with HR projects.
- Conduct post-project evaluations and document lessons learned.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and drive project progress.
- Ensure HR projects align with the institution's strategic objectives and compliance requirements.
- Maintain project documentation and ensure adherence to project management best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on HR-related projects.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, systems, and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Experience with HRIS implementation or significant HR system upgrades is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid working environment.
- Prince2 or PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience in an academic or research environment is advantageous.
- Located within or able to commute to Cambridge .
