About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative Project Manager to lead exciting Research & Development projects in Cambridge . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of R&D projects , from ideation to prototype and beyond.
- Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and resource requirements in collaboration with R&D teams.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure efficient use of resources within allocated funds.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and communication between research scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and manage project risks, technical challenges, and dependencies inherent in R&D initiatives.
- Ensure timely progress reporting and documentation of project findings and outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager , with a strong background in managing R&D or technology development projects.
- Familiarity with research methodologies and product development lifecycles.
- Excellent understanding of scientific or engineering principles relevant to the client's industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with project management tools and techniques for managing complex, uncertain projects.
- A Master's or PhD in a relevant scientific or technical field is highly desirable.
