About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Project Manager to lead the development and enhancement of their e-commerce platforms. Based in
Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, UK , this role will involve managing the full project lifecycle for website development, feature implementation, and optimization projects aimed at improving user experience and driving online sales. You will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, developers, marketing teams, and stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable e-commerce solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, digital product development, and agile methodologies. This is a
hybrid role, offering a flexible working arrangement combining office-based collaboration in
Nottingham with remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of e-commerce platform development projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, technical requirements, and success criteria in collaboration with product owners and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including front-end and back-end developers, QA testers, and marketing specialists.
- Oversee the integration of third-party e-commerce tools and services.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Communicate project status, updates, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, with a focus on e-commerce or digital product development.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex web development or e-commerce projects.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce) and their underlying technologies.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) is essential.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with UX/UI design principles and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
- A relevant Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
