Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects focused on digital platform development and enhancement.
- Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle, from initiation and scope definition to closure and post-implementation review.
- Oversee and guide cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, QA, and product owners, in a remote setting.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives) for distributed teams.
- Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Communicate project status, key milestones, and critical decisions to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
- Ensure the quality and timely delivery of platform updates and new features.
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party integrations relevant to platform development.
- Drive continuous improvement in platform development processes and team performance.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Senior Project Manager, with a focus on digital platforms and e-commerce.
- Demonstrable success in managing complex software development projects, particularly in a remote or distributed team environment.
- In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and their application in software development.
- Strong technical acumen with an understanding of web technologies, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet) and collaboration platforms.
- Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and build strong working relationships.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with platform architecture and scalability considerations.
- PMP or CSM certification is highly desirable.
