About the Role
Our client, a leading construction and development firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Infrastructure Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of significant projects in Cambridge . This role is essential for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of diverse infrastructure developments, from initial concept to final handover. You will lead project teams, manage budgets, control schedules, and liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of infrastructure projects, including planning, design, procurement, and construction phases.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Oversee site operations and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Manage and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams, fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Liaise closely with clients, local authorities, consultants, and contractors to ensure clear communication and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing challenges as they arise.
- Manage contract administration and financial control of projects.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare progress reports and conduct project review meetings.
- Contribute to business development activities and the tendering process.
Requirements
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure project management, with a significant focus on civil engineering projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, contract law, and procurement processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
- Experience in risk management and financial control.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., APM, PMP) are highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing site visits and office-based work in Cambridge .
