Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all construction activities for the assigned residential development project.
- Develop and implement detailed project plans, construction schedules, and budgets.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel effectively.
- Oversee the quality control process, ensuring all work meets specified standards.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with architects, engineers, and local authorities to resolve design and planning issues.
- Manage procurement of materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings.
- Prepare regular progress reports and financial updates for senior management.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a strong focus on residential developments.
- Proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion, with budgets exceeding £10 million.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Strong leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in construction project management software (e.g., Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6).
- Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Hold a valid SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously is a plus.
- Must be able to commit to full-time work based on-site in Southampton .
