About the Role
Our client, a prominent logistics and distribution company, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead strategic supply chain optimization initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful completion of major supply chain optimization projects across the organization.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and key performance indicators (KPIs) in alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including budgets, resource allocation, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Manage and motivate cross-functional, geographically dispersed project teams.
- Implement and oversee the adoption of new supply chain technologies and processes (e.g., WMS, TMS, automation).
- Analyze current supply chain operations to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Oversee vendor selection and management for supply chain solutions and services.
- Ensure projects deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, cost savings, and service levels.
- Communicate project progress, challenges, and outcomes effectively to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the supply chain function.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on supply chain, logistics, or operations.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex, large-scale supply chain transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, logistics, and distribution networks.
- Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and proficiency with relevant software (e.g., MS Project, SAP).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven ability to manage remote teams and collaborate effectively in a virtual environment.
- Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-focused.
