About the Role
Our client, a growing financial services firm, is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead their IT infrastructure and cloud migration projects. This role is crucial for modernizing their technology landscape and ensuring a robust, scalable, and secure IT environment. The position offers a hybrid working model, requiring some presence at the **Norwich, Norfolk, UK** office for team collaboration and meetings, complemented by remote work flexibility. You will be instrumental in managing projects that enhance network capabilities, implement cloud solutions, and improve overall IT performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT infrastructure and cloud migration projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with IT leadership.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Manage project teams comprised of internal IT staff, external consultants, and vendors.
- Oversee the implementation of new hardware, software, network solutions, and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Ensure projects adhere to IT security best practices, compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR), and company policies.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Communicate project status, key milestones, and risks to stakeholders across the organization.
- Drive post-project reviews and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a strong focus on IT infrastructure, network upgrades, and cloud computing projects.
- Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks, networking concepts, server administration, and cloud technologies.
- Experience managing projects involving migrations to platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and collaboration tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is highly desirable.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
