About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead significant business transformation initiatives. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for orchestrating complex projects aimed at improving operational efficiency, modernizing business processes, and implementing new strategic capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage diverse teams and challenging stakeholder landscapes. This role requires a deep understanding of business operations, change management principles, and project execution excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex business transformation projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements in collaboration with senior leadership.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate and guide cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, IT professionals, and external consultants.
- Oversee change management activities, including communication planning, training, and user adoption strategies.
- Identify, assess, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Track project progress, performance metrics, and budget adherence, providing regular, comprehensive reports to executive sponsors.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented project environment.
- Ensure alignment of transformation projects with overarching business strategy and goals.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and ensure successful handover to operational teams.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on business transformation or change management projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale business process improvement or strategic change initiatives.
- Strong understanding of organizational change management principles and methodologies.
- Experience managing projects involving process re-engineering, system implementation, or organizational restructuring.
- Familiarity with various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Experience managing remote teams is highly desirable.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
