About the Role
Our client, a distinguished property development and construction firm, is seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead significant development projects. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of high-value construction and development projects, from initial concept and planning through to final handover and completion. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of construction and development projects, from feasibility studies and site acquisition to design, procurement, construction, and project closure.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including budgets, schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Lead and mentor project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, planning permissions, health and safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, local authorities, and community groups.
- Procure and manage contracts with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular site inspections and project reviews to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
- Manage project financials, including cost control, cash flow forecasting, and valuation processes.
- Prepare and present comprehensive project reports to senior management and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in project management within the construction and property development sectors.
- Demonstrable track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex development projects from inception to completion.
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, building regulations, health & safety legislation, and contract administration.
- Strong understanding of commercial and financial aspects of development projects.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct diverse teams.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- A relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline. Professional qualifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB) are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and standard office applications.
- Ability to manage projects remotely, demonstrating strong organizational and self-discipline skills.
