About the Role
Our client is at the forefront of the green energy revolution and is looking for a dedicated Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager to join their expanding operations. This is a fully remote opportunity, enabling you to contribute to vital renewable energy projects across the **UK** from the comfort of your home office. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of renewable energy projects, from initial feasibility studies and planning through to construction, commissioning, and handover. This role requires a strategic leader with expertise in project management methodologies, a deep understanding of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, battery storage), and a strong ability to manage budgets, timelines, and stakeholder relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of renewable energy projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, resources, timelines, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, legal, finance) and external stakeholders (suppliers, contractors, regulatory bodies).
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for potential renewable energy installations.
- Oversee the procurement process for equipment and services, negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant environmental, health, safety, and planning regulations.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions proactively.
- Prepare regular progress reports and present project updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Foster strong working relationships with all project participants to ensure seamless collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years focused specifically on renewable energy projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale renewable energy projects.
- In-depth knowledge of solar PV, wind energy, and battery storage technologies and their associated project development cycles.
- Strong understanding of project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to analyse complex technical and financial information.
- Experience with environmental impact assessments and permitting processes.
- Must be eligible to work in the **UK** and comfortable working in a fully remote capacity.
