About the Role
Our client, a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions, is seeking an experienced Remote Project Manager to drive critical optimization initiatives. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for managing projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving the overall performance of our extensive supply chain network. This includes implementing new technologies, streamlining processes, and ensuring seamless coordination across international operations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a portfolio of projects focused on supply chain optimization, including process improvement, technology implementation, and network redesign.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Manage project execution, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are achieved according to plan.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies, developing proactive solutions.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project teams, internal departments (e.g., operations, IT, procurement), and external partners.
- Ensure the successful implementation and adoption of new systems and processes across the supply chain.
- Monitor project performance using key metrics and provide regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the procurement of necessary goods and services.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain through data analysis and best practice implementation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS CSCP, PMP) are highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 6 years of project management experience, with a significant focus on supply chain operations, logistics, or related fields.
- Proven experience managing remote teams and delivering complex projects in a distributed environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and optimization techniques.
- Experience with supply chain software and technologies (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP systems).
- Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and collaboration tools.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Must be based and have the legal right to work in the **United Kingdom**.
