About the Role
Our client, a globally recognized logistics and supply chain enterprise, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to drive key optimization initiatives from their Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK hub. This critical role will focus on enhancing the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and resilience of our client's supply chain operations through strategic projects. You will lead a dedicated team, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and ensure the successful implementation of new technologies and processes. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in supply chain management, project leadership, and a deep understanding of logistics operations. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of supply chain optimization projects.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
- Manage project execution, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies, developing contingency plans.
- Oversee the implementation of new technologies, systems, and process improvements within the supply chain.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, procurement, IT, and finance, to ensure project success.
- Manage stakeholder communications, providing regular updates on project status, milestones, and outcomes.
- Conduct feasibility studies and business case development for proposed projects.
- Monitor project performance using key metrics and generate detailed reports for senior management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project management team.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager with a strong focus on supply chain, logistics, or operations management.
- Demonstrated success in leading projects that have resulted in significant cost savings or efficiency gains.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and ERP systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, APICS, or CSCP are highly desirable.
- Experience working within the Northern Ireland business landscape is a plus.
- Familiarity with customs and trade regulations relevant to international supply chains.
