About the Role
Our client seeks a highly competent and strategic Senior IT Project Manager to oversee significant technology initiatives within their Belfast headquarters. This role is integral to the company's technological advancement, focusing on delivering complex IT projects that enhance operational efficiency and support business growth. You will lead project teams, manage vendor relationships, and ensure the successful implementation of IT solutions that meet demanding technical and business requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and closing of complex IT projects from initiation to successful completion.
- Manage project scope, budgets, resources, and timelines effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial constraints.
- Direct and guide project teams, including developers, engineers, and system administrators, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and third-party vendors, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, developing proactive mitigation and contingency plans.
- Ensure adherence to IT governance, security standards, and project management best practices in all project activities conducted in Belfast .
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT Project Management , with a proven track record of delivering large-scale technology projects.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycles, and cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities, crucial for a hybrid role .
- Experience managing project budgets exceeding £1 million and leading teams of 10 or more.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; PMP or Prince2 certification preferred.
