Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive drilling strategies and programs for international exploration and development projects.

- Ensure strict adherence to global HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all drilling activities.
- Lead and mentor remote drilling teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee drilling budgets, control costs, and optimize operational efficiency across multiple projects.
- Interface with partners, government agencies, and service providers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor drilling performance against key metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage post-drilling analysis, knowledge sharing, and lessons learned across the organization.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and portfolio management for global exploration opportunities from a remote perspective, supporting the **Norwich, Norfolk, UK** regional strategic input.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related technical discipline; advanced degrees are a plus.
- A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in drilling engineering and operations management, with significant international exposure.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing complex offshore and onshore drilling campaigns.
- Extensive knowledge of drilling technologies, well control, casing design, directional drilling, and HSE management systems.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, particularly in remote and global team settings.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing large drilling budgets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in drilling management software and project management tools.
