About the Role
Our client, a leading technology services provider, is seeking an accomplished IT Project Manager to join their fully remote team. This position is crucial for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex IT infrastructure and cloud migration projects across a global client base. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through to deployment and post-implementation support, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, self-directed individual with a proven track record in IT project management, particularly in cloud environments and infrastructure upgrades. This role offers the flexibility of remote work combined with the challenge of leading impactful technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT infrastructure and cloud projects, including migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, establishing timelines, managing budgets, and allocating resources effectively.
- Manage and coordinate distributed, cross-functional project teams (e.g., network engineers, system administrators, cloud architects, security specialists).
- Implement and manage Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) for IT project delivery.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring minimal impact on timelines and deliverables.
- Communicate project status, key milestones, and potential challenges to stakeholders at all levels, including clients and senior management.
- Ensure projects adhere to security best practices, compliance requirements, and company standards.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee the procurement of necessary hardware, software, and services.
- Conduct post-project reviews, capture lessons learned, and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT project management processes.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in IT project management, with a strong focus on infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Demonstrated experience managing complex cloud migration projects and infrastructure upgrades.
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and their application in IT projects.
- Exceptional virtual leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, and Slack.
- Experience with ITIL frameworks and best practices is a significant advantage.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (PMP, Cloud Certifications, ITIL) are highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fully remote environment.
