About the Role
Our client, a prominent online retail business located in
Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, UK , is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee the development and enhancement of their e-commerce platform. This role is crucial for driving online sales growth and improving the customer shopping experience. You will manage a variety of projects, including platform upgrades, new feature implementations, and integration with third-party services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of e-commerce operations, web technologies, and agile project management methodologies. Success in this role requires excellent stakeholder management and a passion for delivering high-quality digital products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of e-commerce platform projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with development teams, UX/UI designers, marketing, and operations stakeholders.
- Manage the implementation of new features, functionalities, and integrations.
- Ensure the platform remains stable, scalable, and secure.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage the deployment process.
- Communicate project status and outcomes to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a significant focus on e-commerce platforms or digital product development.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce best practices, online merchandising, and customer experience.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is essential.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify Plus, Magento, BigCommerce) and related technologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise effectively.
- Experience with A/B testing and conversion rate optimisation is a plus.
