You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalising projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, operations, or supply chain management, coupled with robust project management skills. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of supply chain optimisation projects, from conception to completion.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics in alignment with business strategy.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budget management, and risk assessment.
- Lead and coordinate project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication channels.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs within the supply chain.
- Work closely with logistics, procurement, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project updates.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess outcomes and identify best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in managing supply chain or logistics-related projects.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with supply chain optimisation tools and software.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, PMP) are desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management or a related operational role.
