About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to drive improvements and innovation within their logistics and supply chain operations in Portsmouth . This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site engagement and remote flexibility. You will be responsible for managing key projects aimed at optimizing operational efficiency, enhancing supply chain resilience, and implementing new technologies. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of logistics processes, a strong aptitude for problem-solving, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects focused on supply chain optimisation, process improvement, and technology implementation.
- Develop project plans, define scope, set milestones, and manage resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and logistics partners to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics and supply chain operations, reporting on progress and identifying trends.
- Manage project risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure seamless integration of new processes and technologies into existing operational frameworks.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management , with a significant focus on logistics, supply chain, or operations.
- Proven experience in managing complex projects involving process improvement, system implementation, or network design.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and transportation logistics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with project management software and supply chain management systems.
- A relevant degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
