About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Aviation Project Manager to lead key initiatives within their organization, based in Bristol, South West England, UK . This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex aviation projects on time and within budget. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and closing of projects, managing cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The position offers a dynamic environment where effective communication and project management skills are paramount, with a hybrid work model that supports collaboration both on-site and remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and close aviation projects, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and risks effectively.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring clear communication channels.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
- Develop and present project status reports, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant aviation regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Significant experience in project management within the aviation or aerospace industry .
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira).
- Experience with risk management and change control processes in a regulated environment.
