About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Aviation Project Manager to lead key initiatives within their growing aerospace division in Bristol . This role is critical for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex aviation projects, from conceptualization through to completion. You will be responsible for managing project scope, budget, timelines, and resources, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of project management methodologies, and significant experience within the aviation or aerospace sectors. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement , blending on-site leadership with remote oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for aviation projects.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective communication.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Oversee procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiations related to project activities.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, adhering to aviation regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8 years of project management experience, with a significant portion dedicated to the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to closure.
- Strong understanding of project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Asana).
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model , balancing remote work with on-site presence in Bristol .
